Food For Thought is an Ashland, Massachusetts organization that collects gently used children’s books and distributes them to families in need throughout the Metrowest, MA area. Book ownership is essential in promoting literacy and success in school. We believe that all children, regardless of their family’s financial situation, should have the opportunity to own their own books.
Since 2008, Food For Thought has distributed over 20,000 books. Books are distributed through food pantries and social service agencies in Ashland, Holliston, Framingham, and Natick. Books are collected at various schools and businesses in Ashland. Monetary donations allow us to purchase books from library sales in Ashland, Holliston, Framingham and Natick, as well as from local thrift shops.
The Framingham Union Aid Association's mission is to support the communities of MetroWest Boston by raising funds for healthcare related projects and programs
