The Movement Project
Performance Company
The studio's program for qualified, invested and passionate youth, committed to the art of dance.
PCO was founded by Chrissy Reynolds in 2004. It serves to expose students to the world of dance as an art form. Through performances, choreography, student composition, fundraising and community involvement, students receive a solid dance education. The Company has performed for the Celtics Pre-Game Show, The Prudential Center in Boston, The Pulse on Tour in Toronto and various community events in the metro-west area. Students have taken master classes at Steps and Broadway Dance Center in New York. Locally, they have had the pleasure of taking classes with Static Noyze of Boston, Adrienne Mincz, Eric Cruz, Karen Murphy Fitch, Nicole Pierce, Lorrainne Chapman, Rose Pasquarello of Influx Dance, Sara Kay and Aerial Dance Workshops with Janet Craft of the Ipswich Moving Company. The Company has been selected to perform at the Plymouth State Dance Premier Gala . The Company has traveled to New York and Toronto to participate in master classes, conventions and workshops. They have also performed at The Pulse on Tour's informal showing. Students enter the company through auditions in the spring. Those who are technically qualified and emotionally ready will be accepted into the company. Company is intended for students who make dance their extra-curricular priority. Excessive absences and/or a negative attitude is not tolerated by company members, faculty or parents. We promote a positive, supportive atmosphere that is optimal for growth both creatively and physically.
