What is Illuminate Downtown Ashland?

Founded in 2017 by studio director Chrissy Reynolds,  Illuminate Downtown Ashland is a community event that aims to shine a light on the important role art plays within a community. Annemarie's Dance Centre alongside the town of Ashland and Arts! Ashland Alliance partner local art and artists with community spaces both public and private. 

What will 2020 look like?

It is no secret that 2020 has been a very difficult year for the performing arts. Theatre spaces are closed and artists are finding unique ways to bring their art to the community. Illuminate Ashland will do the same. Four venues have been chosen to host art/artists and those venues will be livestreamed for audience members to watch in real time.  Annemarie's Dance Centre will host the student-based dance company Movement Project. 20 young dancers will showcase their choreography in the transformed location. The Ashland Historical Society will open its' doors to the Gilded Harps. NATyA Dance Collective will bring solo works to Ashland Town Hall and Blush Bouquets  opens its doors to Ashland's own Joe Stillitano. All of these performances will be livestreamed and viewed through the comfort of ones home.
