The studio's program for qualified, invested and passionate students who love to tap and want to challenge themselves.
Joyful Noise Tap Team
The Joyful Noise Tap Team was founded in 2014 under the direction of Julie Bradley and is geared toward students who love to tap and want to challenge themselves. The Tap Team aims to foster a love of the American art form of tap dance. Team members are motivated as dancers and percussive musicians who recognize they are visual and auditory performers. They understand that their teammates are their band mates and their work is a group composition. Students are challenged to push their technique and refine their musicianship. Team members accept individual responsibility for their role in the collective band.
Students audition for the team in the spring. Accepted students uphold their commitment to grow and support one another. Rehearsals are typically held on Sunday nights. Tap Team performs at the annual performance company concert, the studio recital and other community outreach programs when possible.
